August 27, 2009-started dossier
August 31, 2009-went to Louisville to turn in I 600A and be fingerprinted
Sept. 30, 2009-Sent dossier to AGCI
Oct. 5, 2009-Assigned as #15 on the "list"
Nov. 5, 2009-Moved to #11
Dec. 3, 2009-Moved to #9
Dec. 9, 2009-Received immigration approval

May 19, 2009-"Let's go for it"
June 1, 2009-Started Homestudy paperwork
June 9, 2009-Sent in AGC official application

Jan. 2010-Some confusion on the list??
Jan. 22, 2010-We got the call
Jan. 28th, 2010-Officially sent in referral contracts
Feb. 8th, 2010-Court date set for Feb. 22nd
Feb. 22, 2010-didn't pass (MOWA not ready) Rescheduled for 3/8
March 8, 2010-didn't pass....again.....same reason as before.....rescheduled for 3/15
March 15, 2010-Ethiopian judge is waiting for one piece of paper that was left out of our file. Should be on his desk tomorrow and then he/she will give their final approval.
March 16th, 2010-HE IS OURS!!! We passed court!!
March 23rd, 2010-Tentative embassy date of April 19th
March 25th-Embassy date confirmed.....We leave April 16th!!!
April 16th-postponed by one day due to volcano ash
April 17th-left for Ethiopia
April 19th-Gotcha!!

I love meeting families near us on the wait list!!! Last time we adopted we traveled with families that we had been "blogging" with. It was so neat to meet them in person. We need to stay in touch and hopfully we will meet in Ethiopia or on Ethiopian Air:)
